Who am I?

Am I a writer, a poet, a composer, a deep thinker?
Is it my constant desire to go deep into nature that defines me? Is it my characteristics, my personality? If my days are dominated by illness, should I be classified by current circumstances or by my character? Right now, I could easily be described as a fragile soul, a dreamer or a broken man. I could be summarised by my strengths or my weaknesses, by past addictions, or present afflictions. But the reality is, I’m far more than all of this. We all are.

We’re all unique, but we all share similarities. We encounter differing shades of adversity yet share the same set of emotions. Every single one of us experiences love and loss, light and darkness, pain and pleasure. But we needn’t define ourselves by incidents, scars or success. The truth is, we’re so much more than single identities, than social categories. And, we’re often so much more than we believe.

Perhaps it’s best not to ask ourselves who we are, but how much we can be.

Welcome to my world. If you’d like to stay, I’d feel honoured to share my creative journey with you.

With warmth,
Davey
